Jaco got upset with himself for not paying attention but now concerned for where she had gone, for there were men still fighting with one another etc. They all then told each other to say something as soon as they found Lacey. By this time she was down below and moved the body that lay in front of the cabin door, and had gotten a little blood upon her shirt and looked down at it. Oh, that’s just great, now I will never hear the end of it, for this is his lucky shirt, which I am wearing today, and he doesn’t even know that I have it on, after I teased him with it the other day. She then went into the room that was down the hall and went to wash it out. Jaco ran to his room as fast as he could and when he did he did not see her in there. He then came out of there and called out her name. Lacey heard him call for. Oh no, I’m really going to get it now, once he sees this stain, I’m done for… She told herself out loud. He then came across her and asked why she had left there sights, for it wasn’t safe to be wandering around and all, since one other those pirates could still be aboard the ship and all. Well, I tried to get your attention but you were to busy arguing with who ever so I left. Then he saw the blood on the shirt she had on and checked her to see if she was cut and all, and she told him she was fine, that, it was someone else’s blood. He didn’t even notice that it was his lucky shirt, and all that has happened he was glad she wasn’t hurt and he pulled her to him and gave her a kiss on the lips. She stood there in shock, of what he just done and when his lips caressed hers a little more she kissed him back. He then realized what he just did, with out even thinking of what he just did and his lips parted from hers and he then stepped back and said. I’m sorry I shouldn’t have done that… that was stupid of me. He remarked. I didn’t think that was stupid, I never felt a Mans lips like that before, I liked it. She tried to kiss him again, and he backed away from her. He looked at her and said. I better go let the others know that I have found you, so they too won’t get worried about you. He had told her.

She stepped towards him. You were worried about me. Then that kiss you planted on me was to tell me otherwise, that you were… I take it. She told him back. He then was getting ready to leave when he had spotted that, which was not one of his regular shirts he let her wear, but that lucky one. Wait a minute, I’m glad that your, not hurt and all, but isn’t that my lucky shirt, that I asked you, not to touch. He explained. Dang and I thought you weren’t going to notice. She smirked at him. Take off that shirt right now, do you hear. He raised his voice to her. The other men that were looking for her, Lance and Caleb, heard the commotion and came to see what was going on. You want me to take it off right, now…? She then noticed then other men standing behind him, when all he was focused on was her to take off his shirt. Yes, take it off right, now!!! He screamed. Right, here, and now… Are you sure…? She then looked over at the other two men. Yes, take that shirt of mine off right, now!!! He raised his voice more. Are you sure, right, here, in front of them…? She then made a face. Yes I’m sure…? He explained. Okay, if you insist…? She then started to take off his lucky blood stained shirt when. He then said. Wait… He then looked behind him and then back at her as she had it now off of her. What…? No!!! He then stopped and took a long look at her as she had no shirt on and then went and stepped right in front of her to block the 2 men’s view of her. All right the show is over, I found her, now go on about your business and get things cleaned up and taken care of, while I take care of what is going on here. He told his men. Sure you will, Captain… I sure think you will, as some of the members of the crew came and tried to gawk at her, and he told them to go away. His crew was cheering him on. It’s about time you snagged a pretty lass like that Captain… One of the crewmen replied. All right you had your fun now go before I give you a lashing to you...? He shouted at them as his crew walked away and he heard them talking and laughing with one another and mumbled underneath his breath. He then looked back at her and said. Why, didn’t you warn me they were behind me…? He snapped at her. Don’t snap at me… She then made a face. I told you, they were behind you, but, then you didn’t want to listen to me once again. She told him. What is that supposed to mean. He gripped. Ah forget it, it’s been done, there’s nothing you can do about it now…? She explained to him. He then grabbed the shirt from her, and started to walk away from her. She then started to clear her throat to get his attention and he said what. And what am I supposed to wear, now…? She asked, and made another face. I don’t care, you figure it out. He explained to her once more, and he walked away and when he did he told her to get back to the room. Why is he making it so hard on me? I was only doing what he asked me too… She then looked around and saw a sheet that you put on top of a bed around her and went straight to his quarters. It took him and his crew the rest of the day to get things back in order while she sat and did what ever in Jaco cabin, and she got tired on his bed after she had slipped of what was left of the clothes she wore and fell asleep. He came in to get something and he saw her asleep in his bed. He stared at her for the longest time, and then he covered her up, and then he went out of the room again.

He then went and talked to Caleb to find out more about her, and how he knows her, or her father. Caleb then spoke and said. I only had seen Lacey when she was younger, and now that I have, and what she told me about her living upon the streets and all after her father left her there. Her father was a pirate, a retired one at that. He was friends with your father I believe. I can’t remember who he hung around with for I was just a lad my self back then... Jaco replied. I come to wonder how she had met up with you… He remarked while he looked over at Jaco. Jaco couldn’t think of anything to say and spoke up when he saw Caleb was waiting for an answer from him. It’s sort of a long story as she kind of bumped into me, and I thought she took my watch and I went to find her and brought her upon my ship and wanted her to pay for taken my watch. He told Caleb. I see… and did she take your watch… Caleb then scratched his chin. She tried to tell me she didn’t but I didn’t want to believe her, until she got so mad that she took it out of her pocket and flung it at me…. He told Caleb. Caleb started laughing. She let you have it, did she? Her father does that too when no one seems to be listening to him, for he did the same to me when I wasn’t listening, though it wasn’t a watch he flung at me. He told Jaco and laughed some more. Jaco made a face and smiled a little. Caleb looked at him, and wondered and said. With the look upon your face, I take it she has grown on you, and you don’t know what to do about it. He told Jaco. Ya… you can say that. Jaco replied back.
Well, you need not to worry any more, for I’m here, and I will see that she has a good home to stay in. Caleb explained. I know I can’t put her in any more danger. He replied back to Caleb. I started having those certain feelings after she saved my life, and now, I can’t seem to have her go back to living on the streets again. He told him again. Caleb thought for a moment and then said. You’re in love with her, aren’t you…? I kissed her…? Jaco replied and put his hand upon his face and rubbed it. I… and does she feels the same way… about yee… Caleb asked. I don’t know, only that I pushed her away, and then went on about my business. Jaco replied back, and then took a deep breath in and out. I don’t know why, I did what I did, or said what I said. But I know I wanted her, God I wanted her. He told Caleb. I don’t want her to go but then I can’t force her to stay either. I don’t know what I want, any more. He replied. Why, don’t you ask her, and find out from there… Caleb remarked. What if I do and she goes anyway, and then never hears from her again. What then… He told Caleb and then moaned. If she loves you and you love her, fate will find away to bring you two back together again. Caleb explained to him. Love will always find away. Caleb explained once more. I hope so. Jaco replied back to him, and sighed.

Jaco’s crew was singing for victory, from defeating the rotten pirates that attached their ship, but Jaco didn’t feel like celebrating. Well I think I will turn in for the night… He told Caleb. No, problem, Captain. I’m always here to help. Caleb remarked, and saluted to him, and Jaco left his sight. Jaco was now in his cabin. And he sat in a chair and watched her sleep and sat there thinking about what if she leaves my ship. I know I will never stop thinking of her that’s for sure, and always be there for her, as she has been there for me. Any where she may be. He then went over to his bed and touched her skin and she moved a little bit, but didn’t wake up. He then sat upon the bed and stroked her hair, as he became tired and fell asleep and lay upon her chest. It soon became dawn, and she had woken up to find him lying upon her. Her heart started beating fast that he was laying in bed with her, on top of her no less. She reached her arm out from under him and she touched him to wake him. It was no use he was dead to the world in heavy sleep. She even tried to get out from underneath him and flopped back down for all the strength had gone out of her. You… are… heavy… She announced, all out of breath of trying to move him. She then gave up and lied there and looked around the room since that’s all she could do… She then looked at him, and brushed a piece of hair from his face. Then she combed her fingers through the rest of his hair. He then moved as her hand now rested upon his hair. She thought for a moment, that she didn’t mean to take over his bed, for he had no where to sleep, but then he had slept on the floor or in his chair all those other times before, why now… She told herself in silence. Does, this man, who lies, upon me, like me more than I know about? But then, I started to have certain feelings for him, now as well. She told her self in silence once more. She now was getting restless as to now she had to go to the bathroom real bad. With all the squirming she did he had managed to finally move off of her, and now lay beside her. She then took a deep breath in and out and was now relieved she could finally get up and head to the bathroom upon the ship and then she got up as fast as she could go and left the room. After she was done she went right back to the room. She looked over at the bed and he was no longer there, she then wondered where he’d gone. She then got startled as she turned around and saw him behind her, and jumped after he said her name all at the same time. Her heart was pounding and said. You scared me…? She announced. I’m sorry, where did you go, for I woke up and you weren’t there…? He remarked and stood tall beside her. I had to go relieve my self. She told him. You shouldn’t have gone off alone after what just happened. He told her. I’m a big girl, I don’t need a chaperone, I can take care of my self you know, she remarked and her nose was itching her and she itched it. He then made a face and went and sat down at the table in the room, and she wondered what the matter with him was and then asked him what was wrong. I was going to have you go and stay some where after we docked with Caleb, who knows your father, but I changed my mind. He told her. Oh… That explains everything, after I woke up to find you lying upon me… She explained. What is that supposed to mean. He remarked and he combed his hair back with his fingers. It means you, like me, and you don’t want me to leave the ship. She replied. No it doesn’t…? He smirked at her. No…? She smirked back at him he didn’t want to let her know he had fallen in love with her… No… I just mean you deserve to be in a better place, then living back upon the streets. Oh… and where do you think I should be…? She asked as she was sort of disappointed that he didn’t want her with him. He looked at her, and seeing that look upon her face. He knew she sort of had feelings for him too and then spoke and said. You belong in a place where I know you will be safe, like upon my father’s plantation, so to speak. Her eyes lit up after she heard him say that, he still wanted her to be with him. Really and where is your father’s home. She asked. It’s not far from here… But I must stop and pick up some things along the way before you leave my ship and have to sail to some other places along the way. He told her. The light in her face sort of faded, when she heard he was just going to drop her off and leave her there, all by her self with no one but her, and the land, with no one else around. Since his father is no longer there of what she heard from Caleb, that his father had passed away, not so long ago and all. Don’t worry, Lacey… I will have someone there to look after you, and when I’m done with what ever I will return, I promise. He then stood up and went to her, as he was now in front of her, and he took her in his arms and pressed his lips down upon hers. He had taking her by surprise as she melted within his arms while he embraced her. She heard the men out side telling everyone they had come to some land in the Caribbean.
